Here are the changes for this update to our personal fitness app for Android / Wear OS:

  • Extra data field: accuracy of each data point (as reported by GPS module) is now written to csv file
  • New advanced option: accuracy filter in metres; any data point exceeding this accuracy figure will be rejected
  • New advanced option: Nerd mode. Turning on nerd mode will write extra debug data to the csv file. Can be useful to understand what’s happening ‘under the covers’. Normally leave nerd mode turned off to save battery.

This update to our personal fitness app for Android and WearOS devices has the following changes:

  • Location and sensors permissions can now be granted within WL watch app (no need to go to WearOS settings)
  • Fixed bug in watch distance display when recording but no steps yet reported
  • Fixed bug when exporting cadence data to GPX file

Updated: Wear Logger 1.24

This update to our personal fitness app for Android and WearOS has the following changes:

  • New option: auto lock screen to prevent accidental screen taps during your workout. The screen can be unlocked either by right-swiping, or by a long-press in the centre of the display, or by a button press.
  • New option: by default, steps for Google Fit are taken from the pedometer. Some people report that the pedometer under-records their steps. If this is you, then you can switch to estimating steps from distance covered.
  • Updated: by popular demand, Wear Logger can now also be used on watches without in-built heart rate monitors.
  • Improved: better reliability when transferring data from watch to phone
