Doze Test – this is a utility app intended for advanced users. Wear Battery Monitor – alerts users when their watches are experiencing abnormal battery drain, on low battery or when fully charged – version 1.15 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear Media Toggle – a utility app to toggle media between ‘play’ and ‘pause’ on your watch each time it runs. Wear Text – a simple app to make calls, send SMS messages and send WhatsApp messages from your watch by voice command. Google Assistant should do this but it has bugs (!). Anti Burn In Watchface – a very simple analogue watchface where no element remains in the same place on the screen – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Based on the Google Pixel Analogue watchface but rebuilt using the new watchface format that is supported from WearOS 4 onwards. Complications are not supported. Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2.
Digital Clock Delay – a utility to delay the digital clock overlay on WearOS 3 devices to allow notifications to be read or while using any selected app – version 1.05 (Malcolm Bryant). Fit Strength Training – a helper app to restore the strength training functionality which was removed from Google Fit (Malcolm Bryant). Update 11 May 2021: the latest change to Google Fit has unfortunately broken this workaround.
Open WhatsApp On Wear – you can see how to install WhatsApp on your watch from this Reddit post. If WhatsApp is available, this utility app will open it – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Update July 2023: the official WhatsApp for WearOS has been announced, so this this app is no longer needed.
Pixel Watch Button Remapper – reassigns the top and central buttons on your Pixel watch to open any installed app on your watch – version 1.01 (Malcolm Bryant). Pixel Watch Notification Fix – makes notifications display while the watch is in ambient mode – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Note: Digital Clock Delay now includes the features of this app. If DCD is installed, you can uninstall PWNF.
Screen Lock Helper – automatically enters an unlock pattern for your watch – version 1.02 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear I Am – a standalone app designed for watches with LTE which sends an SMS with your current location to a contact that you choose – version 1.01 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2. Privacy note: the app does not request internet access and your location is not stored or uploaded. Wear Settings – a utility app that opens the default WearOS settings app on watches that have customised versions such as Samsung Galaxy watches running WearOS 3 – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant).
