Wear I Am 2 – an app for WearOS watches with LTE to automatically send your location to an Android phone with the same random key – version 2.02 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear Media Toggle – a utility app to toggle media between ‘play’ and ‘pause’ on your watch each time it runs. On Samsung Galaxy watches, WMT can be mapped to a long-press of the top or bottom hardware button with SPayRemap. Version 1.02 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear Notification Helper – allows you to select apps on your Android phone which will have custom notification alerts on your watch – version 1.11 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear Reminder 2 – a helper app which runs on your Android phone and your watch and sends Google Assistant reminders and other Google content to your Wear OS device, with optional text-to-speech feature – version 2.27 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear Text – a simple app to make calls, send SMS messages and send WhatsApp messages from your watch by voice command. Google Assistant should do this but it has bugs (!). Alexa Voice Assist – a helper app to open Amazon Alexa for Smartwatches (WearOS) in listening mode – version 1.01 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2. See a YouTube video of how to install and use Alexa Voice Assist.

Anti Burn In Watchface – a very simple analogue watchface where no element remains in the same place on the screen – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Based on the Google Pixel Analogue watchface but rebuilt using the new watchface format that is supported from WearOS 4 onwards. Complications are not supported. Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2.

Digital Clock Delay – a utility to delay the digital clock overlay on WearOS 3 devices to allow notifications to be read or while using any selected app – version 1.04 (Malcolm Bryant). You can install DCD to your watch from the Download folder on your phone using Wear Installer 2. See a YouTube video of how to install and use DCD.

Fit Strength Training – a helper app to restore the strength training functionality which was removed from Google Fit (Malcolm Bryant). Update 11 May 2021: the latest change to Google Fit has unfortunately broken this workaround.

Open WhatsApp On Wear – you can see how to install WhatsApp on your watch from this Reddit post. If WhatsApp is available, this utility app will open it – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Update July 2023: the official WhatsApp for WearOS has been announced, so this this app is no longer needed.

Pixel Watch Button Remapper – reassigns the top and central buttons on your Pixel watch to open any installed app on your watch – version 1.01 (Malcolm Bryant). Pixel Watch Notification Fix – makes notifications display while the watch is in ambient mode – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant).  Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2. Note: Digital Clock Delay now includes the features of this app. If DCD is installed, you can uninstall PWNF.

SPayRemap – a standalone app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, 5 or 6 to re-purpose a long-press of the top and bottom button to open any installed app – version 1.06 (Malcolm Bryant). Wear App Picker – a standalone app for WearOS 3 devices to allow apps to be picked by name (similar to WearOS 2) – version 1.03 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2.

Wear GPS Fix – an app to acquire a GPS fix on your WearOS device and immediately open the fitness app that you selected – version 1.15 (Malcolm Bryant). Get Wear GPS Fix from the Google Play Store here.

Wear I Am – a standalone app designed for watches with LTE which sends an SMS with your current location to a contact that you choose – version 1.01 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2. Privacy note: the app does not request internet access and your location is not stored or uploaded. Only the contact that you have chosen receives your location via a text message. Credits: thanks to Variable Geometries for the idea for this app.

Wear Settings – a utility app that opens the default WearOS settings app on watches that have customised versions such as Samsung Galaxy watches running WearOS 3 – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2. Wear Steps – a utility app which counts steps from the in-built pedometer on your WearOS device – version 1.00 (Malcolm Bryant). Download to your phone and install to your watch from the Download folder using Wear Installer 2.

Wear Tile Launcher – create a tile so that you can quickly launch your 4 favourite apps – version 1.04 (Malcolm Bryant). Since this app is only for WearOS watches and not for phones, please visit the Google Play Store via a desktop browser (the link is here) or open the Play Store on your watch and search for Wear Tile Launcher. Wear Two Launcher – a simple launcher for WearOS 4 watches in the style of WearOS 2 – version 1.02 (Malcolm Bryant). The latest version can be installed by downloading to your phone and using Wear Installer 2. The original version is available from the Google Play Store here. Bus Times – our Alexa skill to get real-time bus information for your local bus stops in the UK (Malcolm Bryant) This Alexa skill is temporarily unavailable.

Tennis Rank – our Alexa skill for tennis enthusiasts (Malcolm Bryant). Update 27 October 2021: this skill is temporarily broken due to changes in the underlying data feed. Update 5 February 2022: moved to new data feed, this skill is now working again.
