Here is the latest update to our Android / Wear OS fitness app:

  • New option to track run cadence (steps per minute), can be exported to Strava or csv file
  • Run cadence data can be smoothed over time interval, default is 20 seconds
  • Data file format has changed, now ends with ‘.wld’ (wear logger data)
  • New options: Ambient 1 and Ambient 2 to give more control over battery usage
  • GPS tracking can be turned off if not required, heart rate and cadence data will still be collected

Yet another update for our Android / Wear OS fitness app, this time with the following changes:

  • Multiple consecutive sessions can now be recorded on watch – press start button after finish
  • For added security, data are written to filesystem on background, pause or stop
  • If multiple sessions are recorded on watch, auto-upload to GFit/Strava is temporarily disabled
  • Selecting a biking activity on phone will change watch display from pace to speed
  • Tapping elapsed time on watch will toggle to actual time, and vice versa
  • Current data file shown in drop down list on main screen
