Freepoc Downloader (FD) is the recommended way to download, install and update Freepoc apps on your Android phone and WearOS watch. Google Play Protect had recently started flagging FD as ‘potentially harmful’ since it could install apps from outside the Play Store. Of course FD has always been perfectly safe to use since it only installs apps written by Freepoc and sourced from our website. FD does not install any non-Freepoc apps from any other sources.
However for the avoidance of doubt, we have made a change so that FD uses Google’s own file manager ‘Files by Google’ to install Freepoc apps. As a result, FD is no longer flagged by Play Protect and you can continue to use the app perfectly safely as before.
